(So, here I am coming back here again. I figure that it just makes sense to be ignored in as many venues as possible.) I watched The United States vs. Billie Holliday last night. Terrific film. Andra Day should have won an Oscar for her performance as Billie. But it was literally a terrific film because of the horrifying story it tells about an America so deeply steeped in race hatred that the stain remains uncleansed sixty-three years after the FBI hounded her to death.
