A technical point about writing on interactive media. When you insert a link, such as you did to the article by Joshua Rothman, it is a good idea to name either the article, the author, or both in the anchor text for the hyperlink. This avoids the disruption to the flow of your narrative caused the discontuity of having added a couple of words that distract the reader from your points. You did the same thing in your footnote, inserting hyperlinks to the two obituaries, using “one” and “the other” as the anchor texts rather than the names of the authors of the articles. It’s a small thing but it is a good style rule. Great article, by the way.
