I’m getting crotchety in my old age. Honestly, its the clutter I can’t stand…but clutter is what we’re getting in the current information environment. I’ve read that copious commenting is the way to fame and success on Medium, and I suppose its true because there are some people who are making a lot of money on Medium, which might be described as a microcosmic wealth redistribution system. Personally, I think that a mixed subscription plus judicious advertising model makes more sense than what is in effect a paywall. I thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment. I once trained a system to reply fuck off whenever someone asked the system a stupid question. Some people thought that was a sign of artificial intelligence to which I replied that all intelligence is artificial.
