Steven Wu: I absolutely concur with your comments….except for the part about how “the left” pushes this shit into the public discourse. As a lifelong leftist, I take umbrage at the suggestion that “social issue” politics is part of the socialist agenda. It is part of the liberal agenda,but socialists aren’t necessarily liberals.

In point of fact, “the left” no longer exists as a cohesive political force. It has been fractured into so many distinct “communities” that it is incapable of forming a coherent agenda.
