This is all about responsibility. Whenever anyone publishes anything, they take responsibility for what they have published, morally, ethically, and legally. If the writing violates the tenets of good taste, libel and slander laws, or hate speech, society has recourses against the offender.
What recourse does society have to a AI-bot? Can I sue an AI for an article defaming me?
No, we can't...but the responsibility for that defamation - in traditional publishing - rests with the publisher as well as the author. On social media, so far, the vehicle is not responsible for the content. Therefore, no one can he held to account.
Art, music, poetry, and fiction are communications between human beings. If a AI is posting comments, and we respond to the comments, we are not responding to a genuine human being. Such dialogues can only be described as diabolical in the literal sense of the word, a conversation with a devil.
Once we give over all of our creative pursuits to these machines, all we will have left will be the life of the senses, and sensuality will become the be-all and end-all of existence, with the usual tragic consequences from such behaviors.
